As the year is about to end, it has given a gift to the passengers travelling from Visakhapatnam to Tirupati and vise versa, by introducing a tri-weekly double decker train. The tri-weekly Double Decker super fast express train introduced by the railway minister between Tirupati and Visakhapatnam is all set for its inaugural run on December 30, 2016. Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will flag off the train at Tirupati.
The train 02708 will depart from Tirupati at 10:30 am and reach Visakhapatnam at 12:10 am. While returning back the train will depart from Visakhapatnam at 1am on December 31, 2016 at 3:30 pm, the same day. However, the regular services of this Double Decker super fast express will start from January 1, 2017 from Tirupati and while returning with effect from January 2 from Visakhapatam. This train consists of eight air-conditioned Double Decker coaches.
Every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday the train 22708 Tirupati-Visakhapatnam double Decker super fast express will depart from Tirupati and arrive Visakhapatnam the respective following days. The train no 22707 Visakhapatnam-Tirupati Double Decker super fast express will depart from Visakhapatnam every Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 10:25 pm and arrive Tirupati the following day at 11:35 am.
The double decker will stop on the way at Renigunta, Sri Kalahasti, Gudur, Nellore, Ongole, Chirala, Tenali, New Guntur,Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Tuni, Anakapalli and Duvvada.
