The state government’s ‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’ was accomplished in a splendid approach at the VUDA children’s arena on Thursday. HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao was the chief guest to the concluding ‘Maha Sankalpam’ session and supervised the Maha Sankalpam oath taking programme. Meanwhile Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu conducted the oath taking programme during a video conference from Kakinada. The government is firm to renovate the district into a drought free one.
They will be constructing 557 check-dams and 20,000 farm ponds (Panta Kuntalu) across the district. The CM revealed that they are on the way to reach 284 village panchayats as open defecation free (ODF) villages by year-end as a part of the Swacch Andhra Pradesh programme. Besides that, Freedom Fighter Koppula Apparao, GITAM Law College Prof Y Satyanarayana, along with ten meritorious students from government schools were felicitated by the organizers on the event.
Later, Ganta Srinivasa Rao addressed the meeting and on behalf of the government he thanked the public and officials who participated actively all through the week in the Nava Nirmana Deeksha programmes and made it a splendid victory.
With support and motivation, the government will go ahead to accomplish wide-ranging development of the state with more perfection, said the Chief Minister. They are grateful to the public who extended their cooperation in achieving the target of 15% growth. As a part of this, the government is earnestly trying to get the per capita income to Rs 1, 57,000 from the available Rs 1, 42,821.
