With the much-awaited tourism and cultural fest of Visakhapatnam “Visakha Utsav” starting today, the city of destiny is sure to see a rise in the number of tourists. To accommodate the tourist rush in the city, The East Coast Railway has decided to extend the services of two existing weekly special trains via Vizag, said G. Suneel Kumar, divisional commercial manager (co-ordination) for Waltair division of East Coast Railway.
The Visakhapatnam-Tirupati Weekly Special Express (Train no. 08573) will leave Visakhapatnam on Mondays at 10.55 pm from February 6th to 27th and arrive at Tirupati the next day at 1.25 pm.
For the return journey, the Tirupati-Visakhapatnam Weekly Special Express (Train no. 08574)
will leave Tirupati on Tuesdays at 3.30 pm from February 7th to 28th and reach Visakhapatnam the next day morning at 6.50 am.
Here’s the train route map with the list of stoppages: Duvvada, Anakapalle, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, New Guntur, Tenali, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Sri Kalahasti and Renigunta between Visakhapatnam and Tirupati.
Similarly, The Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Weekly Special Express (Train no. 08501) will leave Visakhapatnam on Tuesdays at 11 pm from February 7th to 28th and reach Secunderabad the next day at 12 pm.
For the return journey, the Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam Weekly Special Express (Train no. 08502) will leave Secunderabad on Wednesdays at 4.30 pm from February 8th to March 1st and reach Visakhapatnam the next day morning at 4.50 am.
Here’s the train route map with the list of stoppages: Duvvada, Anakapalle, Tuni, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada, Khammam, Warangal and Kazipet between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad in both the directions.
