Exhibition – the word itself sounds amazing and mind blowing, and brings to mind delightful things that leave us awestruck and amazed. We often get busy with our daily chores and activities and finally in the weekends we get time to relax, go for outings, movies, chill out with friends and families etc. Exhibitions are a great source of fun and masti for all the age groups, one can just have a wonderful time here and often people would love to turn up to such places again and again. An exhibition provides an opportunity to see various cultural and customary handlooms and handicrafts that are not generally available in today’s shopping malls. It’s not only the small kids or the young boys and girls who look forward to such a moment, even the adults and senior citizens enjoy themselves equally.
The arrival of summer season has a lot to show up to the citizens of Vizag, as every year we have an exhibition in the ‘AU Grounds’ opposite to Submarine beach road that starts after 5:00 PM in the evening. This exhibition tends to show us distinct artifacts and much more. The exhibition has a set of lovely rides that would drive people crazy. Initially we have the beautiful flower vases leading us the way towards the exhibition, then we come across the accessory stalls where we find beautiful jhumkis, chains, chokers and more hanging around; followed by fashionable long metal earrings, metal bangles, hair clips and clutches etc. The exhibition has many such stalls displaying a huge variety of fashionable products and accessories, thereby leaving us in great confusion (as to what to buy and what not to buy). The HD 3D cinema, which displays The Dinosaur movie and The Animal food fight are exciting. While going ahead, we might come across the Gun shooting and Ball shooting games which tends to be a good hobby for many.
Now we come across the most fun-loving part i.e., the rides. Oh my goodness, the rides are just so amazing, going round and round on the Giant Wheel would give butterflies in our stomach, the Columbus ride will just swirl us from one end to another. The Frisbee and Pendulum rides are just equally superb that will leave you breathless and are a lot of fun as well. The Break Dance would really make you sway like you’ve never swayed before. But our favourite is the 360 Degree ride that takes you in a full circle by flipping you upside down. The ones who enjoy a hint of risk and thrill, then it is just the place for them. The Water Boating and the Ball Pit is a good time pass for tiny tots. All the above rides starts functioning by 5:00 as well.
Every year they’ve come up with brilliant ideas like 7 Wonders Replica, White House Replica and more in the past. One of this year’s beautiful attractions are the Robotic Animals Show and the Selfie Booth. The animal show has all robotic animals from dinosaurs to elephants, which is really exciting to see. The selfie booth with lovely 3D projections is a definite visit for all the selfie lovers. And the surprising part is one can freely enter these premises without an entry ticket. The Snow world is a regular every year.
Apart from all these; we have breath taking and mouth watering food stalls for all the food lovers. The aroma of pav bhaji’s, samosa chat, manchurias, masala papads, French fries and nuggets are just tempting. We also have many stalls selling cotton dresses, saris, toys, Manchuria masalas, watches, crockery, dry fruits, key chains, footwear, etc. From food stalls to fun rides and from clothing to accessories, every thing here is just reasonable. The mehendi art done by the artist here is just mesmerising.
The entry tickets cost Rs. 50 per head and tickets for the fun rides range from Rs. 20 and onwards, with the bigger ones costing upto Rs 60. Vijay Paulson is the Manager and Raja Sekhar Reddy is the organiser of this exhibition.
