“It has been two years since I finished my Engineering studies in Vizag and flew to Florida for pursuing Master’s Degree. When I reflect back on the time spent during my four-year stay in Vizag, a truckload of memories runs past my mind.
The morning walks on the beach road, the weekend movies, the street food, the late night bike rides, everything was special in the city of destiny.
Quarreling at the gates of Jagadamba theatre, to gain the tickets for the first day first show of my favourite actor’s film, is an experience that could be found nowhere else.
Strolling along the beach road with a packet of the typical city’s muri mixture is something that no true Vizagite can get enough of.
While people here go gaga over pizzas, hamburgers, and other fast food, I personally have a chord attached to the tiffins sold at MVP Colony. Be it the dosas, the punukulu, or even the egg noodles prepared at multiple stalls, the food dishes sold in this area are truly amazing.
I have been following the developments taking place in Vizag closely and it is really heartening to know that the city is taking rapid strides in several sectors. From emerging as an IT hub to reaffirming its status as a major tourist destination in Andhra Pradesh, Vizag is fast growing as a prominent city in South India.
While many feel it challenging to leave a beautiful place such as Florida, many students from Vizag here seem to share similar feelings and eagerly look forward to slumping on the beloved shores of Vizag.”
