Spruced up interiors with the same welcoming ambience, Four Points by Sheraton is all set to wow its visitors in its new avatar!
The Hotel
Stepping into the reception area of Four Points by Sheraton through the glass doors, the first thing that catches the eye is the front desk shaped like a submarine. Despite the uber cool structure in the middle of a massive room, the interiors are reminiscent of a luxury cruise ship. Wood and portholes dominate the walls and the high, tiered ceilings that enhance the feeling. A sea of cool colours, in a stark contrast to the warm colours that once made up the hotel, with paintings representing elements of sea life stand out behind grey couches with Ikat cushions and royal blue, high backed chairs. Distressed wood coffee tables accompany the seating with little fish bowls filled with sand, colourful glass pebbles and tea lights that sparkle. Move past the reception and you’re welcomed by a comfortable seating area with peppy cushions that complement the azure pool. The pin-wheel from the logo is placed in a subtle manner all across the hotel.
The Eatery
Twinkling lights grab your attention at the bar that looks like a tavern one would come across in any port town, except it’s much more classier. Green high-chairs replace the regular old bar stools and a soft wooden counter precedes the glass bottles lined on shelves. A pastry counter finds its place near the bar with different desserts on display. Minimalist grey chairs accompany cream, marble-topped tables at The Eatery. The only source of colour in the room is the booths with bright green sofas and bulbs hanging in bunches inside glass domes over light wooden tables. Situated amidst all the sea of calm is chaos – the open kitchen. Behind the scrumptious food lined up, one can see the chefs tossing and flipping food on pans and dishing out their best. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served here through both à la carte and buffet, the menu boasts of everything from Indian and Italian to Pan-Asian. The magnum opus though, is the fresh seafood they serve. Guests can choose from display, which ‘catch of the day’ they want grilled, baked or steamed to perfection.
GM Speaks
“We have tried to incorporate the feel and touch of Vizag into the renovated Four Points by Sheraton. Elements of marine life and the buzzing colours of a port town can be found here. We have used such elements across the hotel with even the window screens inspired by the pattern of fishing nets drying out by the beach. We have tried to retain the uniqueness The Eatery already has while turning our attention onto seafood. Our renovated meeting and function space has been re-christened as Grand Circars as a recognition of the city’s rich heritage, history and culture. ” says Aditya Shamsher Malla.
