On the occasion of World Tourism Day, the authorities have made all the tourist spots in Vizag city free on Thursday.
The District Council has also made arrangements for some celebrations. With the theme of ‘Tourism and the Digital Transformation’, the authority has announced a 20% discount on the tariff for scuba diving and sea kayaking at Rushikonda from 9 am to 4 pm on Thursday.
Also, the tariff of adventure sports at Kambalakonda reserve forest from 9 am to 4 pm and paragliding on Kailasagiri hills top from 12 noon to 5 pm.
Collector and Chairman of District Tourism Council, Pravin Kumar said, “ A ‘tourism walk’ will be organised from Kali Matha temple to YMCA on the Beach Road from 6 a.m. Tourists and passengers will be welcomed at the airport, railway stations and RTC Complex from 8 a.m. onwards. The main event will be organised at RK Beach, opposite the Viswapriya Function Hall, in the evening.”
He mentioned that an exhibition would be organised on the beach road with food stalls serving traditional food from 4 pm followed by the celebrations.
