Bogasamudram Vijaya Reddy, ex-Corporator of Gajuwaka and women wing leader of Congress Party in Visakhapatnam, was found dead under mysterious circumstances. The 53-year-old was found dead in her flat at NGGO’s colony in Akkayyapalem in the city on Tuesday morning.

Reports claim that on Monday night, Vijaya’s husband, Vishnu Reddy returned home to find his apartment locked. After failing to reach his wife over the phone, he was eventually informed from sources that Vijaya Reddy would get late coming home. Not possessing the keys to their apartment’s new lock, Vishnu Reddy was forced to sleep outside the flat waiting for his wife to return.
However, with Vijaya Reddy not returning home till Tuesday morning and her phone switched off, Vishnu Reddy approached the IV Town police. After reaching the apartment, the cops broke open into the house, to find the ex-Corporator lying dead in a pool of blood. It has also been revealed that nearly 10 tolas of gold went missing from the house.
The police, on inquiry, found that the CC cameras were not working. They even collected the couple’s mobile call data for further investigation. The Clues team and dog squad gathered information from the spot and sent the dead body to KGH for post-mortem.
