GCIED (GITAM Centre for Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development) will be rolling out its first flagship event, the ‘Entrepreneurship Awareness Week 2018’, scheduled to be held between the 17th of September to the 21st of September, 2018 at GITAM (Deemed to be University), Visakhapatnam.
As a part of this big week, GCIED has already organised a flash mob and open mic to create awareness among the students about the significance of entrepreneurship.
Workshops by Josh Talks, a 24-hour hackathon and for the very first time, a mock stock – that would be a virtual stock market for participants to invest in are among the events that would be conducted through the week.
“With plenty of fun student engagement events such as the treasure hunt, the Labyrinth and GITAM monopoly, the experience is not to be missed,” claim the members of GCIED.
On the final day, a panel discussion will be organised on the theme, ‘How to Start-up 101’, which will be attended by founders of prominent companies. To conclude the event on a grand note, several cultural performances will be presented by GITAM’s Kalakrithi club, which will then be followed up by a performance by a reputed band based outside Vizag.
So much to see and so little time remaining! To avail these 5 days of awesomeness, one has to pay only 300 bucks, so grab your passes today, before it’s too late!
The first two days of the event will be having Josh Talks by several individuals such as Rohit Kuncham, Founder, Yantranet, Shyam Mantha, Founder SHMedics, Vimal Raj, Founder – Stardust Adventures, Manager – NASSCOM, Visakhapatnam and Behara Sumanth, Founder Plot17 among others.
The remaining days will also witness a 24-hour hackathon to encourage students to use technology and come up with innovative solutions for problems in real-time.
EAW will even have a panel discussion with entrepreneurs such as Sanchit Sethi, Nikhil Chandwani and Madhav Prasad talking on the career objectives and future prospects of entrepreneurship in the country. This will be followed by the valedictory function.
