Continuing to stand apart as one of the more popular colleges in Vizag, GITAM has many specialties attached to it. Much similar to any other college, this one too, remains quite special for its alumni. Here are 5 things every GITAM Vizag alumnus would relate to.
Be at a workplace, a restaurant, a train, an airplane or even on the moon, it’s very common to bump into a fellow GITAM student outside the campus too. “Hey, Nuvvu GITAM ah? Nenu GITAM eh!” is something that any alumnus would instantly relate to.
You can’t help but pass by GITAM while driving towards Rushikonda or Bheemili. A glimpse of the main gate here and all the good old memories of our college diaries come rushing back. Talk about getting emotional!
One place where many GITAMites have innumerable memories is at the GITAM “Down”. From the all-famous KPS (Kondamma Pan Shop) to any of the humble Maggi stalls near Rushikonda, the area is a hub for many intellectual minds and frustrated souls. Get any alumnus talking about their “Down” memories and you would know what we mean.
An extension to the first point on the list, the “connect” is made all the more special when two guys share GUSAC or Kalakriti as the commonalities. All the event organisers, photographers, dancers, singers, and musicians here have a deep-rooted network among them and bond instantly when they meet outside the campus.
Do we need to say more? 🙁
One thing that any of the alumni would find hard to digest is the recently revamped campus. The good old playground and walkways are no longer the same and a few other areas too, have donned a new avatar in the campus.
