Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Book – Now in Vizag

Harry Potter – the boy who lived, the boy everyone grew up with. JK Rowling was the goddess and Harry Potter was her demi-god. When Scholastic first announced the release of the script of the play – Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – people were sceptical as to how it would be received. Despite every single Potterhead being secretly excited amongst themselves about lining up for the books on the first day, just like they did when they were children, it is only now that the magnitude of the craze has surfaced.

Book stores all over the world are holding midnight release parties and book release parties tomorrow, in anticipation of Potterheads congregating together to celebrate Harry Potter and take a trip down memory lane. It’s been 10 years since the release of the last book, but it seems just like yesterday that we held make-shift wands and put on cheap knock-offs of the Harry Potter glasses to line up for the final book. While the play of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is previewing in London, the book is being awaited with bated breath by those of us who can’t make it there.

Vizag is holding it’s own book launch party at Pages tomorrow morning at 11.30 AM. The book store has a slew of offers for all Potterheads looking forward to buy the book. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child if to be priced at

Rs 899/- and Pages has come up with different choices of offers one can pick on. Gift hampers, vouchers, etc are to be expected through the offers. The cherry on top is the cutting of the cake that will have the cover of the book imposed on it. They are going to call it – Let’s cut the curse and eat the cake. How cute is that?

So we look forward to see you at the launch. Potterheads unite!

P.S: Don’t forget your wands, you never know where a Dementor might be lurking.
