Srinivas Kamineni, the state health minister on his tour to the agency areas promised good healthcare assistance will be provided to the region. He also mentioned that there should be no delay in treating the patients and requested anyone suffering from fever or any ailment to report to the nearby hospital immediately.
The minister said that an amount of Rs 50 lakh has been sanctioned from the Vaidya Seva Revolving Fund for the renovation of the old building of Araku Area hospital. Mobile medical vans are also likely to be set up at the weekly markets to make healthcare more accessible to the people. He shared that all medical students must work at the agency areas and would be given incentives for their services. Bonus marks will be rewarded to these medical students and a better pay and allowances would be given to the doctors working in the Agency areas. The minister has assured that all vacant posts for the medical staff will be filled up soon and the government is ready to provide all the medical facilities and the medicines in the Agency areas.
The minister has interacted with the patients and the villagers while on his visit to the primary health centers and area hospitals. He also visited Sunkarametta, Kodipunjuvalasa, Bosubeda, Chompi, Peda Labudu and other places. Reports also indicate that he appreciated the work of a differently-abled doctor at Sunkarametta and has instructed to shift a patient to the Araku Area hospital. During this visit, the minister also inspected the availability of water and the sanitary facilities being provided in area hospitals.
