Heritage Foods has set up an Ultrahigh Temperature (UTH) milk processing and packaging plant near Visakhapatnam. The company has recently launched two new milk variants-UHT Special Toned Milk and Double Toned Milk- at their office in Hyderabad.
Heritage Vice-Chairperson and MD, Brahmani Nara said, “The new processing plant is installed adjacent to the existing one near Vishakhapatnam. UHT milk is best suited for both tea and coffee. We ensure that the packaged product stays fresh all the way through its supply chain and even when it is stored for a longer period of time. The idea behind an additional facility was to ensure that the product reaches out to more number of people.”
She also informed that the milk has no bacteria and stays fresh up to two days after it is opened, provided it is refrigerated under suitable conditions. “The milk is pasteurized, therefore, there is no need to boil it, and is safe to be consumed without boiling,” she added.
The Heritage Foods was founded in 1992 by the current Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The milk products, currently, have a presence across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Delhi, Rajasthan, and Punjab.
