#1 RASIA

Rasia is a special type of kheer made exclusively in Bihar. The creamy delight is prepared particularly during the Chatt Puja and is made with milk, jaggery, rice, sugar, popped fox nuts, raisins and cashews. It is not only appetizing but also nutritious.

#2 LITTI CHOKHA

This crispy, yummy snack dipped in ghee is stuffed with fried gram flour and spices. The chokha is usually prepared by smashed brinjal or potato, garlic and onion. Litti without Chokha is like Romeo without Juliet, they are a match made in heaven!.

#3 THEKUA

Thekua is a dish which needs no reason before hogging on it. The sweet is shallow fried and is made using wheat flour and jaggery.

#4 PARWAL KI MITHAI

This delicacy is made by scooping the inner part of pointed gourd/ potals and is then boiled and dipped in sugar syrup. The sweet not only is appealing to eyes but is also a treat to the taste buds.

#5 GUR ANARSA

Anarsa is one of the most popular dishes in Bihar. This scrumptious dish is coated with sesame seeds and is medium fried. The sweet has different versions based on the way in which it is preferred to be consumed. Another variant is stuffing the sweet with sweetened khoya.

#6 LAUNG-LATIKA

Laung-latika is one of the popular traditional sweets made in Bihar. The crispy crust along with the signature flavour of clove in middle just melts in the mouth. It is usually prepared during winter and has a huge demand for it.

#7 SATTU

Sattu is a popular refreshing drink made with roasted black chana, lemon, green chilli, mint leaves, chilled water and a pinch of salt. This rural delicacy has gained popularity in urban areas too. Sattu also boasts of a wide range of nutritional benefits.
