The Hyderabad Metro is all set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 28th of this month. The inauguration event, which will take place at Miyapur Depot, is slated to happen prior to Global Entrepreneurship Summit. The inauguration will officially mark the commencement of operations on the 30 km stretch between Miyapur and Ameerpet and from Ameerpet to Nagole.
As per a report in Indian Express, HMR Managing Director NVS Reddy said it would be a record in the country because no other Metro has opened for public operations on such a long stretch at once. Also, a safety certificate was issued by the Commissioner of Railway Safety earlier this week. It has also been informed that the Prime Minister will be travelling for a 7-minute haltless trip from Miyapur to SR Nagar.
