Human rights activist and contestant in the Telugu Big Boss 2 show at present, Babu Gogineni, is well known to Telugu people for his stand against religious elements and superstitious beliefs. Not just love and praise for his ideology, Gogineni also receives an equal amount of hatred for his comments over religious aspects. In the latest, a case has been registered on him by the Hyderabad Police on Tuesday on various charges. The charges include hurting religious sentiments and collecting Aadhar Cards from the participants in the events conducted by his organisation.
Gogineni runs South Asian Humanist Association and the organisation has been conducting an event in India. K V Narayana, a citizen of Hyderabad, alleged that the officials have been forcing the participants to submit Aadhar Cards in the event. He alleged that officials collected the Aadhar Card numbers and have posted the details on the organisation’s official website.
Gogineni’s speeches are provoking hatred and might lead to violence among communities, Narayana alleged. Narayana also demands the deletion of videos from social media.
Narayana has filed a complaint in Hyderabad High Court and the Court has directed the police to lodge FIR under appropriate sections.
