Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIM-V) witnessed 42 companies participating in the institute’s final placement process. The students have been placed in reputed companies in different domains such as KPMG, Amul, HDFC, ICICI, and Deloitte.
KPMG recruited students for its government advisory and strategy, and operations, consulting practice. The leading FMCG Company Amul recruited students in the domain of sales and marketing. Whereas, GMR extended offers to IIM-V students for its management trainee programme in the operations domain etc.
The average annual package offered to the student was around Rs. 16 lakh per annum. Most of the jobs were in sales and marketing (44%), and then consulting (11%) and general management (9%).
Also as reported by TOI, because of the strong performance of students in the summer internship and corporate competitions, about 18% of the students received pre-placement offers/interviews.
Prof. M Chandrasekhar, Director, Indian Institute of Management, Visakhapatnam said, “Our students have once again done us proud with their stellar performance in the placements. The mentorship provided by IIM-Bangalore and facilitation by the Career Development Services team are the key enablers of our success.”
Adding on, he said, “Despite the increasing competition, the students had shown robust performance in attracting the country’s premier companies. The industry has shown its staunch support by offering diverse profiles and niche roles.”
