innovators
The Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society is inviting applications for its ‘Mad About Ideas’ challenge. Entrepreneurs are encouraged to ‘identify and develop original, innovative proposals on pressing social and/or environmental, technological issues as individuals or teams’ for the challenge.
Participants are welcome from all the 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. ‘Mad About Ideas’ is being looked at as an ‘innovation accelerator’ and entries must be submitted before December 11. They will then be analysed and shared with the relevant Department in Government of AP. The specific business ideas will be provided mentorship and incubation support from other entrepreneurs and incubators.
There will be cash awards from Rs 1,00,000 to Rs 10,000 to encourage the innovators. On the lines of Digital India, the ‘Mad About Ideas’ challenge focuses on general purpose infrastructure as utility to every citizen, governance & services on demand and citizen empowerment services.
The short-listed entries will be announced on December 14 and the final round will be held at the StartAP Fest in Vijayawada on December 23 & 24. The top ten entries will be recognised by the CM and there will be a full incubation programme in Tirupati at XLr8-Andhra Pradesh. The entry which wins will have the chance to visit the University of Texas at Austin for a week.
Check out the ‘Mad About Ideas’ website to submit or for more details.
