A total number of 10347 jobs created in AP, says ITAAP

Information Technology Association of Andhra Pradesh (ITAAP) is the industry Association of 150+ companies for IT, BPO and Electronics in AP. A not-for-profit organization, funded by the industry, its objective is to foster growth and sustainable development of the industry and works closely with Industry, Academia, Union Govt and the State Government. Many potential candidates from Vizag have been selected for jobs at a Job Fair conducted by the association in the city.

It has concluded its State Level and Vizag Chapter elections during the last one month and has unanimously elected R L Narayana, Location Head, WNS Global Services, as State President, Sreedhar Kosaraju, CEO Nimaisoft, as State President-Designate, Naresh Kumar Oruganti, CEO Symbiosis Technologies, as Advisory Council Chairman, Mr Srihari, Director of Quant Systems, as State Secretary,  Mr Ravi Kishore Nunni, Director Operations, Amzure Technologies, as State Treasurer and Ms Lakshmi Mukkavali, MD Patra India, Vizag Chapter Chairperson as the office bearers.

Over the last one year, ITAAP has engaged in multiple activities to strengthen the Industry in the state. 76 New & Existing Company Expansions, employment to 12,167 people, Rs 1399 crores of investment, to name a few are some distinguished facts of ITAAP.

The association has been working with new investors in the promotion of state as a preferred destination. It has an infrastructure created at 11.19 Lakh Sq.ft., allocated with 8.34 Lakh Sq. ft for 92 companies.

In terms of talent development and employment generation, ITAAP has created 10347 jobs and conducted 6 mega job drives.

ITAAP is seeking to improve incentives for the existing, non-growth companies and engage with the Government for power tariff rationalization and bandwidth subsidy. It wants to increase the availability of plug and play facility and p

artner with the Government to bring more top brands to Vizag and ensure that talent does not migrate out of the city/state. Also, ITAAP Collaborate with the Academic institutions to felicitate the top-performers and increase the industry-academia engagement.
