Superstar Rajnikanth’s much-awaited Kaala now has a release date. The film’s producer, Dhanush, has announced that the film, directed by Pa Ranjith, will hit the screens on April 27th. However, the recent announcement has allegedly not gone down well the producers of Bharat Ane Nenu and Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India.
The summer season generally gets the cash registers ringing in the Telugu states, and turns out to be the season when big stars aim to release their films. This summer too seems to be poised to be a star-studded affair at the box-office starting with Ramcharan’s Rangasthalam, which is releasing on March 30th. The month of April is also witnessing stiff competition for dates and two big heroes, Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun, are planning to bring forth their films in this month. The news that Rajnikanth’s Kaala will also be competing with these films has, reportedly, created an unease among the producers and distributors of Bharat Ane Nenu and Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India.
While the initial reports suggested that superstar’s 2.0 will be pitched in before Kaala, the former will be released at a later stage owing to some invariable delays.
Experts in Tollywood feel that it would be better if the filmmakers announce their films’ release dates well in advance in order to maintain professionalism. It remains to be seen if the stars manage to adjust their dates in such a way that business of no film gets affected by the other.
Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu is the actor’s second film with director Koratala Siva. The duo delivered Srimathudu in the past, which proved to be a blockbuster. Allu Arjun, on the other hand, is working with writer turned director Vakkantham Vamsi for his upcoming Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India.
