Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to visit Visakhapatnam in February. The leader is expected to mark his presence at the annual day celebrations of Sri Sharadha Peetham in Visakhapatnam on 14 February. However, KCR’s visit to the city might just not be restricted to a spiritual cause. Reportedly, the Telangana politician may meet YSRCP supremo and opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during his upcoming visit to Visakhapatnam.
While KCR would fly to Visakhapatnam for the ceremony on 14 February, YS Jagan too, after completing his house warming ceremony at Tadepalli in Guntur district on the same day, is expected to arrive in the city to participate in the events at Sri Sharadha Peetham.
The leaders are then expected to hold talks on the political ambitions of the parties in Andhra Pradesh ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in the state. However, an official confirmation on the same is yet to be received.
It may be recalled that post the election results in Telangana, KCR had promised to deliver a “return gift” to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in the state’s Assembly elections in 2019. The TRS honcho made the comment in the wake of Naidu’s participation in the Telangana Assembly elections last year.
TRS had joined hands with YSRCP as part of its agenda for the proposed Federal Front. The alliance between the two parties was confirmed after TRS Working President and Sircilla MLA K Taraka Rama Rao met YS Jagan at the latter’s Lotus Pond residence in Hyderabad earlier this month.
KCR had visited Sri Sharada Peetham at Pendurthi in Visakhapatnam in December. After swearing in as the Telangana Chief Minister, he sought the blessings of one of his spiritual gurus, Swami Swaroopanandendra Saraswati. The Telangana CM had then visited the ashram along with his family members.
