But the idea of revenge remains the same.
The action entertainer starring superstar Pawan Kalyan was believed to be very similar to the French movie Largo Winch. The antagonist roles are changed and backgrounds are suited to local tastes. The Telugu version is directed by Trivikram Srinivas.\
Heavily inspired by the French movie Laila Says and the Spanish movie The Secret in their Eyes, the Telugu version is said to have used a mix of these two storylines. The first half of the Telugu version revolves around a girl who comes to a new neighbourhood and falls in love with a boy who lives with his mother, similar to the French movie. The background of the male lead is a little different in comparison. The climax of the movie is said to be inspired by the Spanish movie. The Telugu version of the movie is directed by Palnati Surya Pratap and is written by ace director Sukumar. The movie made a lot of buzz in Tollywood.
Directed by the famous director S S Rajamouli, this movie is inspired by the 1923 American silent comedy Our Hospitality. The team who initially wanted to buy the rights to the English version did not find luck in locating anyone related to it. The Telugu version starring Sunil is packed with comedy and is a family entertainer suitable to the needs of the Telugu audience. The movie was a big hit at the box office.
