Mahesh Babu, in association with Asian Cinemas, will soon be launching his new multiplex at Gachibowli in Hyderabad. While there have many speculations on which movie would first be released here, recent reports suggest that the much-awaited film, 2.O, starring Rajinikanth, might well do the honours at AMB Cinemas this month-end.
While it was earlier expected that Aamir Khan would be present to launch the multiplex and mark the first release at Mahesh Babu’s new venture, with Thugs of Hindostan, things apparently didn’t as per plan with Khan being busy in movie promotions.
However, with 2.O reportedly set to be the first movie to be released at AMB Cinemas, the theatre is expected to get off to flying start.
Starring Superstar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead roles, the Shankar directorial has apparently been made on a whopping budget of Rs 600 crores, making it India’s costliest film till date.
With the recently released trailer creating quite a buzz on the digital world, the magnum opus seems to have hit the right notes ahead of its release. In fact, Mahesh Babu too appreciated the trailer and took to Twitter to share his thoughts. “Stunning visuals and incredible concept! Can’t wait for Chitti to set the screens on fire. Best wishes to@shankarshanmugh, @rajinikanth sir, @akshaykumar, @arrahman, and the entire team!” the Bharat Ane Nenu actor shared.
Coming as a sequel to the 2010 blockbuster, Enthiran (Robo), 2.O will be hitting the screens worldwide on November 29.
