Visakhapatnam is busy celebrating Dasaravali. The event, which will last up to 2nd October, is celebrating the spirit of sustainable tourism on the occasion of the World Tourism Day. Apart from having the presence of some eminent personalities, the event will also have a plethora of programmes to entertain the crowds. In fact, some big names, including that of Mahesh Babu, are slated to attend these celebrations.
However, in what is coming as a major disappointing news to the city’s people, Superstar Mahesh Babu will not be a part of the event. The Spyder star, who was supposed to be in the city today, had to cancel his trip due to unspecified reasons. This comes as a demoralizing news to all his fans across Vizag who had huge hopes of seeing their favourite star live.
Another actor from Tollywood, Ravi Teja is supposed to attend the event tomorrow. The event took off a few days ago with many popular figures making their presence felt.
The district collector, Mr. Praveen Kumar stated that each year, the World Tourism Day would be celebrated in the district on a grand scale. There will be tourism related activities organized in the city and other places in the district like Arakku, Lambasingi, and Girijan areas. He mentioned that the current season is a ripe one for Vizag tourism and people from places across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Chattisgarh, and West Bengal converge here. This coupled with the Dussehra season would prove to be a major boon to the city’s tourism sector.
