Make A Difference is a youth driven, non-profit organization working to ensure better outcomes for children in orphanages and street shelters. Currently in 23 cities of India, Make A Difference caters to 5000 children spread across 23 shelters via a bandwidth of 4300 Multipliers and volunteers. MAD caters the needs of the children in shelter homes through three projects Ed Support, Propel and Dream Camps.
Make A Difference – Vizag is conducting their Dream Camp on 24, 25 & 26 of February at Haigreeva Resorts. A total number of 45 kids of PAPA home undergo the various sessions of Dream Camp. The sessions of the camp include
1- River of Life – Acknowledging the past,
2- Tree of Life – Identifying our Support Systems and connecting them to turn them into reality.
3- Beautiful You – Realizing the inner strengths of you.
4- Arts Challenge – Providing a platform to express their talents.
These Dream Camps are ‘Crowd sponsored’. That is, Volunteers conduct this camp by reaching out to communities around them and explaining them the cause they are working for. MAD is a registered society under the Travancore Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955. They are a 12A registered society with section 80(G) status of income tax act and are eligible to receive foreign funding via the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act. MAD follows all financial regulations set forth for non-profits by the Government of India, and is audited annually.
