Shraddha Shashidhar from Chennai to represent India at the Miss Universe Pageant

Shraddha Shashidhar, who was recently crowned Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva 2017 by Shahid Kapoor in Mumbai, will now represent India at the Miss Universe Pagent to be held on November 26 in the USA.

Shraddha, who lives in Chennai, was crowned Miss Diva 2017 by Shahid Kapoor on Wednesday. The judges’ panel at the event include some eminent personalities like Lara Dutta, Vijender Singh, and Rajkumar Rao. The finale night of the event, which was anchored by VJ Yudhisthir and Actress Malaika Arora Khan, even had some stunning performances by Actress Kriti Sanon and singer Anushka Manchanda.

“It is tough every year. It isn’t easy to choose one winner. It’s been 17 years since we have had our past winner so this year we have to try and bag the Miss Universe Crown,” said former Miss Universe Lara Dutta. Also, Actress Susmita Sen won the title in 1994.

A report in The Indian Express said that Shraddha Shashidhar completed her schooling from the Army Public School in Deolali. Shraddha, who is an athlete as well, is from an Army family and graduated from Sophia College for Women with a degree in Mass Communication.
