The August Moon or Mid-Autumn Festival is the harvest festival of the Chinese, one they have been celebrating since the Shang Dynasty. Held on the 15th day of the 8th month on the lunar calender, despite its name, the festival usually falls in September or October. The end of the festival is traditionally celebrated by praying and giving thanks for the harvest gathered.
Ming Garden, The Gateway Hotel will celebrate the August Moon Festival with the theme of abundance, continuity and luck. Remaining true to the spirit of traditional Sinchuan Chinese food culture, the menu offers a mouth watering collection of soft Dim-Sums, spicy Garlic Chilli Prawns, Wok Fried Lobster, Diced Chicken in Oyster Sauce, Fried Tofu Bok Choy that literally disintegrates in your mouth and Lotus Stem With Foxnuts. Round off the meal with some delectable Pumkpin Tang Yuan or Chocolate Rum Ball.
So head over with your family or on a date to enjoy the food and the ambience that will be done up to suit the festivities.
