Sravan Shipping Services Pvt Ltd of Visakhapatnam received a Fifteen Years Achievement Award at the MSME Award function held in Vijayawada. They received the award from Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at V Convention on the eve of International MSME Day.
The shipping enterprise received the award for their excellence in providing service and leadership shown and corporate social responsibility initiatives in the service sector. They have also been awarded for their running of a corporate governance that runs on transparency, fairness and accountability with compliance to laws and promotion of ethical conduct. Their initiative towards adopting a smart village has brought them accolades, so has their Swachha Bharat Swaccha Visakha drive at maintaining greenery at three traffic islands.
On Tuesday, CM Chandrababu Naidu launched the logo of AP MSME Development Corporation. The corporation with a budget of Rs 100 crore was launched with the aim to encourage micro, small and medium enterprises. The unit will help MSME entrepreneurs with marketing, branding, skills and quality development of products.
On the occasion of MSME Day, the CM announced that there will not be any upward revision of power tariffs for entrepreneurs, instead the state government might even reduce the same. A MSME Bhavan will be constructed in Amaravati on 15 acres of land and it will consist a research and development wing, training centre, the latest technologies and more.
A budget of Rs 160 crore is being set aside to revive sick MSMEs. Necessary lands have been identified in 101 assembly constituencies and the Industries Department has entered into a MoU with eight firms.
