Salt – Fest of the East Music Carnival In Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam is proud to present the city’s first independent three month music carnival ‘Salt – Fest of the East’. The musical event is jointly organized by Bead Music and AP Tourism. It is being held every Saturday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the arena beside Submarine Museum, Visakhapatnam.

The event started off with the performance of city’s five member rock band, Kairoz presenting a series of popular rock numbers. Numbers such as Spirit Carries On, of Dream Theatre; Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here and the soft soulful number of Yellow by Cold Play was presented by the band during the two-hour musical extravaganza. The band Kairoz was formed in the early 2000s by Samuel J Benaiah, Johanan Yedidi, Paul Livinstone and Neil Joseph and since then they have been actively carrying forward their musical passion through live shows in the city.

‘Salt – Fest of the East’ will bring together over 30 local artistes as well as music bands from other cities to create a weekend of musical fusion. “The idea is to make this annual musical carnival where people get together to celebrate all kinds of music. Next weekend city band Infinites will be performing a fusion of music from different genres,” said Vijai Kanth of Bead Music.

Saturday’s show as a good music loving crowd enjoying the entire show. Many people attending thought the beach was the ideal place for this and did not disturb the usual mill running of the city.

Yo! Vizag is happy to see that the city once again is striking the right chords.
