The knife attack on Andhra Pradesh politician YS Jaganmohan Reddy has currently stirred up the Telugu states. Minister for Panchayath Raj, Rural Development and IT, Andhra Pradesh, Nara Lokesh has responded to the recent attack on YSRCP Chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy in Visakhapatnam.
Taking to Twitter, Nara Lokesh shared, “Strongly condemn the attack on Opposition Leader YS Jagan garu that happened at Vizag airport. Such cowardly attacks have no place in the modern society. (sic)”
It was reported that YS Jaganmohan Reddy was attacked by a man at the Visakhapatnam airport on Thursday. Informedly, the attacker, identifed as Srinivas, approached the politician for a selfie to which he obliged. The guilty then stabbed Jagan in the arm leaving him with an injury on his left shoulder. When Srinivas tried to attack the leader for the second time, he was overpowered by his supporters.
While Home Minister China Rajappa termed the incident as unfortunate and ordered a further probe into the incident, Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu expressed his shock over the incident and asked the concerned agencies to carry out a thorough investigation.
