Andhra Pradesh Minister for Panchayath Raj, Rural Development, IT&C, Nara Lokesh has been named among 100 young influential leaders in the government in the world. As per a list compiled by England-based policymaking organisation ‘Apolitical’, Lokesh stood among the top 20 in ‘Future Leaders: The World’s Most Influential Young People in Government’.
As per the website of Apolitical, drawing on hundreds of nominations from experts and leading organisations, the list recognises people in the field of government and policy who have made a mark early in their careers (everyone on the list is aged 35 or below).
Touted to be the ones to watch out for, the organisation expected the listed leaders to continue to transform governments far and wide for years to come.
Manipur’s IAS officer, Armstrong Pame, Member of Parliament from Hisar, Dushyant Chautala, Vice President, Youth Wing, Bharatiya Janata party, Madhukeshwar Desai, Member of Parliament from Raver, Raksha Khadse, District Collector Alappuzha, T.V. Anupama and Head of Local Village Council, Barkhedi Abdulla Bhakti Sharma were the Indians on the list of the young influential leaders. Notably, Nara Lokesh stands as the only Indian in the top 20 on this list.
