Prime Minister Narendra Modi is now one of the most followed leader on Facebook on a global level. Modi’s Facebook page has 41.9 million followers followed by the new US president Donald Trump with around 20 million followers. His official page – Prime Minister of India – ranks third with 13.1 million followers, followed by Modi’s personal page and the newly elected US President Trump. Even Digital India, Make in India and Swachh Bharat are the maximum engaged campaigns that have been run by the government.
The PM has been fortifying the importance of internet. He believes the internet as an input factor, a tool for better productivity, higher output, creating brand recognition and accessing global markets. On the day the election results were announced on May 26, 2014, Modi had 14 million followers and the number today stands at 41.9 million. This is the rise of the Prime Minister; despite the fact that the central government has taken some drastic and surprise measures over the last six months.
Modi’s developments have not stopped here. Even today on the third anniversary of his election – Modi will inaugurate a number of projects; including the country’s longest bridge in Assam. While there, he will also lay the foundation stone for two key projects – AIIMS and the Agriculture Research Institute. The move will quicken the development of Assam and the North East. Assam has been enveloped with massive security cover in the view of Modi‘s visit.
The Dhola-Sadya bridge that will be inaugurated is tend to reduce the travel time between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh from six hours to just one hour. The distance will shrink by 165 KMs serving 2,20,000 people in the region.
