BJP State President Kanna Lakshminarayana visited Visakhapatnam on Friday to review the arrangements being made in the city for the PM visit. Given that PM Narendra Modi is slated to visit the city on 1 March, Kanna Lakshminarayana, along with Visakhapatnam North MLA P Vishnu Kumar Raju and MLC Madhav, reviewed the Railway Exhibition Grounds at Thatichetlapalem.
The BJP leader asked about the progress of the works at the ground, where a public meeting would be held when PM Modi is in the city.
It may be recollected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was originally scheduled to address a massive public meeting in Visakhapatnam on 16 February. However, owing to a change in his schedule, his visit to the city has been postponed to 1 March.
Narendra Modi visited Andhra Pradesh earlier this month to address a public meeting in Guntur. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister launched a seething attack on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his party. Modi accused Naidu of being a betrayer and said the latter was only interested in securing the future of his son. The Visakhapatnam visit too is expected to witness the Prime Minister to take a dig at TDP and counter their claims on the NDA-led government.
