Amidst the TU-142 Aircraft and INS Kursura Submarine Museums, another new aircraft museum will be adorning the shores of Visakhapatnam. Also, an underground parking facility will be coming into reality, to address the acute shortage of parking in the beach area.
The District Magistrate & Collector, Pravin Kumar I.A.S, has met the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) Vice Chairman, Basanth Kumar, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Commissioner, Harinarayan, and other officials at VUDA Udhyoga Bhavan on Tuesday, to hold a review about the progress of tourism in the city.
The main points discussed with the officials and architects in the meet were about the Kursura submarine, underground parking and establishing of Sea Harrier Museum. The Collector has advised that views of MLAs and MPs regarding the projects should be collected and presented to the Chief Minister later on, for the approval.
The underground parking facility is said to spread around the area from Victory at Sea till the TU-142. The parking lot would be constructed to accommodate more than 400 vehicles.
The Collector advised that the entrance gate and the greenery around the aircraft museum have to be attractive for the tourists.
Similar to the TU-142 Aircraft, which was inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind last year, the Sea Harrier Museum will soon be adorning the city.
