The seventh month of this year has almost come to an end. There have been many incidents that have happened in the city during this month. While most of them have been saddening, some have been good occurrences as well. Let’s look back at 5 incidents that we think have been the major headlines in the city.
The Sri Lankan airlines have started operating from our city this month. This will carry Srilankan’s total operations in India to 126 weekly flights to 14 cities, with its existing operations to Chennai, Trichy, Trivandrum and others.

The Royal Brothers have opened up their services in our city. They are a bike rental company based in Bengaluru and have started their services in Vijayawada and Vizag. HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao inaugurated Royal brothers in the city and wished them all success. Read the entire article here-

A few weeks earlier, two employees of the Karachi Bakery had drowned in the Rushikonda beach. The deceased had been identified as Rahul Pandit and Noval Upadya, who were residents of Hyderabad. The beach visitors had raised alarm and the life guards made every effort to rescue them. Only 2 of the friends could be rescued while Rahul Pandit and Noval Upadya could not be. Answering the prayers of many food lovers in the city, the burger giant McDonald’s has finally opened its store in Vizag. It’s their first store in coastal Andhra Pradesh. They have opened up in CMR Central and have been receiving good response ever since. Read the full article here-

Also, the bakery chain has opened a new outlet at Siripuram. They have revamped everything from the menu to the inner ambience and has been receiving thumbs up from the crowd.
In a shocking incident, Vizag based businessman Vikram Dhamija was murdered by a gang of goons. He underwent treatment under critical care after the brutal attack on him and his wife and driver. He succumbed to the injuries and passed away on July 18th.
