Sunday Sundowner by Bassment + Sound Simplify ft. Nikhil Chinapa

It’s summer & what better way to celebrate it than with a spectacular Sunday Sundowner? Summer brings along with it beach bodies & pool parties, so Bassment and Sound Simplify, in association with DnD present the Sunday Sundowner featuring, none other than, Nikhil Chinapa.

The versatile Nikhil Chinapa has donned many an avatar during his career. His name is synonymous with MTV Select, not to mention, him being a poster-boy for cool. Every 90s kid grew up staring in awe at his spiky hair and the set that looked like a bedroom. Shooting hoops while having meaningful conversation with callers is what everyone wanted to end up doing with their lives.

Just when EDM had begun taking off, Nikhil Chinapa decided he wasn’t cool enough and went on to become a high-profile DJ/Music Promoter/Festival Director. Okay. While obviously we’ve all grown up with ‘VJ Nikhil’, through the years we’ve also seen him be an integral part of the music scene in India. Wherein once he played a major part in shaping our taste in music, he has now become key to bringing in the music festival culture to India through Submerge.
