PaRa… the Supreme is all set to celebrate its 1st anniversary on a grand scale. PaRa is a socio-cultural movement initiated by globally acclaimed Carnatic Musician Dr. Pantula Rama.
PaRa has a very enthusiastic and dedicated team of musicians and music lovers from different walks of life who deeply believe in the vision of this movement and strive to achieve its objectives, which are-
1. To achieve oneness with Supreme Consciousness through pure note(Swacch Swar) in music
2. To achieve social oneness through a ‘no barrier’ approach.
PaRa functions in a two-fold module – centralized events where people come and participate in day-long events; and PaRa Vistara where the team goes to schools, colleges or any other needy venues and conducts customized events.PaRa has completed one year and in this period there were two centralized events in Vizag- Swacch Swar and Samarpan, one in Hyderabad- Spandana and 3 Vistara events which were conducted in Amma foundation(Orphanage) in Srikakulam, Netra Vidyalaya in Chepaluppada, Bheemili and MANASU girl care center in Simhachalam. In these events, PaRa conducts activities like teaching the universal 7 notes and their variations and teaching songs. Other activities include meditation, speeches, debates, interactive sessions about openness to all genres of music and grand concert listening sessions.
