After the success of the 2016 Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, the 23rd edition of the Partnership Summit is going to be held at Visakhapatnam on the 27th and 28th of January, 2017.
The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India along with the Confederation of Indian Industry and Government of Andhra Pradesh are going to organise the Partnership Summit of 2017. The topic of discussion for the Global and Indian Industries is ‘Innovative Policies and Path Breaking Strategies’.
To increase the number of Global industries participating in the summit, the Government has decided to organise Roadshows in during November and December. The Government organised a roadshow at the Sino-Indian Industrial and Commercial Enterprises Summit in Guiyang, China the day before yesterday. The ongoing Summit in China has participants from all across the world and will help bring in investors to India. Lots of contracts on tourism, health and modern services are being signed in the summit.
The main aim of conducing roadshows is to attract investors and to make them sign mega MoUs for investment. During the 2016 Partnership Summit, a total number of 328 MoUs were signed which brought an investment commitment of Rs 4,67,577 crore leading to employment of 9,58,896.
Delegates from 51 countries are expected to participate in the Partnership Summit to be held next year.
