The much-awaited Telugu flick ‘Agnyaathavaasi’, starring Pawan Kalyan, has reportedly been caught in a copyright row. Widespread speculations that the movie is a remake of the French film Largo Winch has prompted T-Series, which owns the remake rights of the same, to send a legal notice to Agnyaathavaasi’s producers seeking a clarification.
According to The News Minute, sources close to T-Series said that the producers of the film have been served a legal notice and a clarification is awaited just to make sure that there is no copyright violation.
Largo Winch is a French film based on a Belgian comic book of the same name. The movie tells the story of a billionaire’s secret son who tries to establish legitimacy to avoid losing his financial empire.
The film which is all set for a grand release on January 10th will hope to get the issue sorted out soon to ensure a hassle-free release.
‘Agnyaathavaasi’ stars Pawan Kalyan, Keerthy Suresh, and Anu Emmanuel in the lead roles. Veteran actors Khushboo, Boman Irani, and Tanikella Bharani play other prominent roles. The film is produced by S Radha Krishna under the banner Haarika & Hassine Creations. Agnyaathavaasi will also mark the Tollywood debut of music director Anirudh Ravichander.
After delivering two blockbusters in the form of ‘Jalsa’ and ‘Attarintiki Daredi’, the duo of Trivikram Srinivas and Pawan Kalyan is once again expected to strike gold at the box office.
