Actor and Jana Sena founder Mr. Pawan Kalyan visited the city on Sunday. His primary agenda of the visit was to address the kidney-disease prevalent in the Uddanam area of Srikakulam. He met the group of doctors who visited Uddanam from Harvard and discussed the issue with them.
Pawan thanked the doctors for visiting Uddanam and initiating a step towards Uddanam nephropathy. He also made it clear that he isn’t trying to help any political party but only trying to resolve the issues of the people. Pawan mentioned that he even ready to seek help from YSRCP’s Jagan Mohan Reddy to resolve the Uddanam issue.
After the meeting, Pawan met Andhra Pradesh’s CM Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu in Amravati and briefed him about the situation. Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas also participated in the discussion. The Jana Sena chief requested the CM to take effective measures to eradicate the disease from the area. At the same time, he praised the measures taken by the government in addressing the issue. Mr. Chandra Babu praised Pawan’s efforts on this issue and has even appointed him as the brand ambassador for ‘Jeevan Dhaan’.
Pawan to focus on politics
In what may come as a major disappointment to many fans, Pawan Kalyan has said that he would be focussing more on politics from October. He would be finishing his film commitments by then and is keen on addressing the social issues from then on. Pawan said that politics will be his first priority as he believes that people could be served better through this. He also said that he would make specific plans to meet the people and get to know their issues.
