Winter is here and so is our mood to finish the year on a high. December not only brings our favourite season but also witnesses many of us take memorable trips, given the holiday season. Given that the last month is fast approaching, here are 5 places to visit in Visakhapatnam this season.

#1 Lambasingi

Situated at about a distance of 100 km from Vizag is a small village very calm and peaceful, blessed with exquisite natural beauty. This place sees the temperatures drop below 0-degree centigrade and is called as the ‘Kashmir of Andhra Pradesh’. It is our very own Lambasingi. Nestled beautifully in the greenery of the surrounding hills, this beautiful village gives many reasons why it just can’t be missed by any nature explorer and generally occupies one of the top spots on the list of places to visit in Visakhapatnam. December, generally, proves to be one of the best months to visit this endearing hamlet in Vizag.

#2 Araku

Andhra Pradesh’s beloved valley of Araku is one place that stands the test of time. This beautiful hill-station remains as one of the favourite holiday destinations for many people in the city. Be it for the astonishing sunrise views, or for the spectacular lush green hills, or even for its world-renowned coffee plantations, Araku has given us innumerable reasons to be there. #3 Bheemili (Road Trip)

One of the most scenic drives for city-dwellers is the road to the beach that takes you all the way to Bheemli

 and its beautiful beachside. Feel the wind in your hair on a two-wheeler and enjoy the bay views and smooth road that stay with you for most of the trip, as you cruise through the cold blanket that lays amidst the hills and the sea all along this route.

#4 Dolphin’s Nose

Flee away to the nearby Dolphin Light House to celebrate the vantage views of the city. The rock resembles a dolphin’s nose is nicely placed at an altitude of 358 meters with its projection to the Bay of Bengal in Visakhapatnam. This elevated rock is also the site for a powerful lighthouse highly useful for the shippers with a light beam that can be seen as far as 64 km out at sea. Apart from enjoying the views in this winter season, you can also visit the nearby Yarada beach for spending time at the cool weather by the beach.

#Ananthagiri

Located on the way to Araku Valley is the refreshingly charming site of Ananthagiri. Be it for spending a holiday with your loved ones at the hill resort or being captivated by the arresting beauty of the local waterfalls, this place comes as a suitable getaway from the busy lives. Ananthagiri is also a favourite camping spot for many to explore the undiscovered beauties and is definitely one of the places to visit in Visakhapatnam.
