Police on the search for “Dandupalyam-inspired” gang in Vizag

It has been reported that Vizag police are on the lookout for a group of goons from the city have been committing crimes under the name of ‘Dandupalyam’ gang.

Allegedly, the gang was responsible for the recent murder of a 36-year-old yoga teacher from the city. Also, the gang was even held responsible for attacking the person who allegedly hired them to commit this brutal murder.

With reports emerging that these goons are resorting to several other crimes, the city’s police are carrying out thorough investigations to get a hold of them.

If the reports are to be believed, a few suspects, who have been taken in charge by the police, are being sternly interrogated.

In the past, a similar gang, which was also “inspired” by the film ‘Dandupalyam’, created a ruckus in Vizag by committing several murders. This gang’s activities, however, reduced to a considerable extent after one its key members had got killed. The cops are trying to get to know the current activities of the remaining members of this group.

‘Dandupalya’ is a Kannada film that is based on the true events which took place in Karnataka during the late 90s. The movie got dubbed into Telugu as ‘Dandupalyam’.
