Pravin Kumar, Collector of Visakhapatnam and returning officer of MLC graduates constituency, has issued an election poll notification. He states that candidates should now seek permission for rallies and meetings.
A single window facility will be set up at the collectorate for the same. Nominations should be filed at the RO’s office or with the district revenue officer. The district revenue officer is also the assistant returning officer of Visakhapatnam.
The Collector also stated that deputy collectors should monitor the implementation of the same. They should ensure model code of conduct and later, the supplement voter list will be published after taking permission from the Election Commission.
Withdrawal of nominations must be done before February 23 and the elections will be held on March 9 from 8 AM to 6 PM. The results will be declared after counting on March 15. Security measures for the same will soon be taken and orders will be issues to gun owners to submit their weapons, security guards excepted.
