Despite the refusal from the Union Government the youth have decided to have a slow and steady movement, a protest demanding Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.
Soon after the protest at the Marina Beach led by the college youth has taken shape demanding Jalikattu, Andhra Pradesh has come to the same grounds to demand special category which will be beneficial for the state. This is going to take place at the RK Beach on the 26th of January, 2017.
It has been hyped on social media asking the Telugu people to take the Tamils as an inspiration and protest for the Special Category Status since three days. KVP Ramachandra Rao, member of Rajya Sabha, has written to the Chief Minister to take inspiration from the Jallikattu movement and demand special category status. Andhra Pradesh demanding this status is now trending top in social media, wherein support has also been extended by actors like Nikhil Siddarth and Sampoornesh Babu. Jana Sena chief, Pawan Kalayan has also tweeted his support to the protest.
The IT minister KT Rama Rao has also been invited to support the state on its demand for this special category status after he showed his appreciation to the Tamil brothers on Twitter. Adding to this he tweeted: “When the power of people is Greater than people in power, it’s a real democracy. People of Telangana proved it and now our Tamil brothers.” However, there have been a few controversies saying not to compare the three as all of them have different stories and are being protested in a different way.
