Festive season fun activity round up, 7 best puja specials

It is that time of the year again!! Puja 2017 is upon us already and the familiar madness has besieged us. The last quarter of this year looks promising with Puja, Durga Puja or Navratri having started already and Sankranthi, Diwali and New Year lined up. Festival season always brings out the most colourful side of us and we don’t mind. Vizag is lit up like the scene of a fairytale. Pandals of The Goddess grace the city and we are loving it. A habitual modus operandi is invoked in the festival season and we are busy. Very very busy.  What is it that we love to do? While we all enjoy differently, there are a few common activities that perk us up this festive season. There is not much by way of logic behind them but check them out here.

Opening sweet shops to roaring business

This is a good time for many to open a sweet meat, confectionary or goodies shop. Festive season is auspicious as well as a time when the market for all things sweet is booming. A common sight is a heavily garlanded shop calling you in to try a few of their wares for free. Now we are not saying no are we?

Street food marathons

The world championships would fade compared to the competitions between puja revellers at who eats the maximum gol gappas, punugullus, bajjis, samosas etc etc. It is taken very seriously and in this festive season say no to dieting and yes to hogging. Bon appétit.

Shopping till we are dropping

Every place is all dazzled up with festive or diwali special collection. Bright colors and high fashions in ethnic wear are the shopping favourites. A good excuse to shop and flaunt, beautiful people with happy smiles are collectively making Vizag pretty.

Pandal hopping

Be it the Railway Colony Durga pandal or the one on RK Beach and the numerous others, we love the festive cheer in each place and hop skip and jump from one to other with great glee.

Bird watching of the interesting kind

Young people are out in finery and form and the festive hormones are berserk. Checking out the opposite sex and mutual appreciation is the norm of this time. Relationships are made and broken and a collective match-making sport takes hold of all.

Spring cleaning

Not just outdoors, indoors get a lot of attention. But why now?? Who knows but every ignored corner of the house gets cleaned and jazzed up.

Loving the traffic jams

The festive atmosphere brings it’s share of traffic troubles. Not just Vizag it is everywhere. But it is now we do not mind. Happiness and positivity are running high and we suggest we all get with the flow.
