Radhe Shyam makers announce a release date for the Telugu movie

The official release date for Prabhas starrer Radhe Shyam has been given as an update on Twitter by the makers of the Telugu movie. If not for the pandemic, this sensational pan India film would have been released in the theatres today. To keep Darling Star’s fans satisfied, the filmmakers posted an online update on Friday morning at 9:18 am.

Calling it a new beginning, UV creations, the production house of Radhe Shyam, announced that the film is all set to release in theatres on Makar Sankranti, 14 July 2022.

Social media went abuzz yesterday when the official Twitter handle of the film Radhe Shyam announced that an update would drop on Friday morning. The post asked Darling fans to stay tuned and expressed their grief in not being able to release the movie as planned.

Radhe Shyam stars Pooja Hedge alongside Prabhas. The film is an upcoming period romance film written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar. The film is set in the backdrop of Europe in the 1970s and veteran actress Bhagyashree is said to be playing a crucial role. Radhe Shyam is being produced by UV Creations and T-Series jointly and is set to release in Telugu and Hindi simultaneously, with the date announced. The filmmakers have roped in Justin Prabhakaran for music, Manoj Paramahamsa for cinematography, and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao for editing.

With this announcement, Radhe Shyam will be joining the Sankranthi 2022 race. Mahesh Babu starrer ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ was the first to announce a 2022 Sankranthi release. Recently Pawan Kalyan and Rana’s untitled remake of the Malayalam movie Ayyappanum Koshiyum, as well as Hari Hara Veera Mallu, have also joined in. With three big films in the same week, the Telugu audience is sure to celebrate a grand Sankranthi this coming year.

Apart from Radhe Shyam, Prabhas has also been announced to be doing the mythological epic Adipurush (which is based on Ramayana and Prabhas will be essaying the role of Ram in the movie), the action thriller Salaar which also stars Shruti Haasan. He is also working in a Nag Ashwin directorial which also has Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan.
