Rana Uppalapati is on a journey once again, for a cause. This time it is from Ramakrishna Beach (Vizag) to Marina Beach (Chennai). He is covering nearly 810 km solely on his skates. Rana will skate along the coastal corridors in eight days from Vizag to Chennai.
He previously skated from Mumbai to Goa to spread awareness about breast cancer for Pinkathon
– a marathon conducted every year to spread awareness about women’s health. The Cause
Rana intends to skate this summer, an excess of 800 km from Vizag to Chennai over eight days starting 28 May 2016, to promote the cause of Pinkathon and raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness and Fitness for Women. Today, you can help us raise funds for patient ID 33512 admitted at Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital and Research Institute, and as many like her. She is diagnosed with stage two of the same disease and is unable to pay for her treatment, as she is physically challenged, below the poverty line, and widowed with a son who cannot earn a living for them yet. With immediate treatment, doctors say she will be fully curable. As we speak, she has been admitted for surgery by the hospital on credit.
On this trip, Rana Uppalapati plans on skating 100 KM per day and speaking at colleges and villages along the way about his journey and the cause behind it.

Yo! Vizag wishes the best for his journey.
