International giant Samsung Electronics has expressed willingness to establish a global e-commerce centre in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Reportedly, the Chief Digital Officer of Samsung, Mr. Kal Raman was impressed by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu‘s vision and is keen to invest in Andhra Pradesh.
State IT Minister, Nara Lokesh, who is currently touring the United States, met Mr. Raman and shared the news on his social media account. Lokesh commented, “Met Samsung Chief Digital Officer Mr. Kal Raman who shared about his fondness for Hon’ble CM and his vision. He reminisced about how Amazon in Hyderabad was granted permission in 3 days during his stint at the tech firm and how it is currently employing around 30,000 people. Mr. Raman has assured that Samsung is keen on investing in Andhra Pradesh by setting up an e-commerce centre. They will also explore collaboration with GoAP in other areas. Mr. Raman will set up a school for underprivileged kids in AP & provide them quality education.”
Nara Lokesh said the state government has come forward with multiple policies to facilitate industrial growth in Andhra Pradesh. He also encouraged the NRIs to take part in Smart Village Smart Ward program of the GoAP and also contribute to AP’s development by investing in the state.
