This Diwali, PM Narendra Modi launched the ‘Sandesh 2 Soldiers’ campaign so the Indian Army receives messages from grateful citizens. The campaign was launched keeping in mind India’s trouble with Pakistan at the border.
On the mygov.in site he ‘invites citizens to pen their thoughts, their feelings, their sense of gratitude, towards our soldiers’. He wrote on his FB page ‘This Diwali, let us remember our courageous armed forces who constantly protect our Nation. Jai Hind. I sent my #Sandesh2Soldiers. You could also do the same. Your wishes will certainly make our forces very happy.’
One can send their messages to the Indian Army, Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRSF) on the Narendra Modi app, give a missed call on 1922 or comment on the MyGov site.
DD and AIR will then broadcast the best of them and MyGov would select the best posts through its social media handles. And lastly, Narendra Modi may read some of the best posts on Mann Ki Baat on October 30.
The campaign will run till Diwali and several celebrities have already gotten on board to support the campaign. Akshay Kumar, Virender Sehwag, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and more have already sent in their messages to the soldiers via the #Sandesh2Soldiers hashtag. Send in yours now too!
