Tuesday marked a special occasion in Visakhapatnam. The devotees thronged the Simhachalam temple for the ‘nijaroopa’ darsanam of Lord Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy on the auspicious occasion of Chandanotsavam. India’s opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan and former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly, who are in Visakhapatnam for the clash between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad, also visited the holy shrine on Tuesday.
Both Shikhar Dhawan and Sourav Ganguly, who are a part of the Delhi Capitals contingent, even clicked a few pictures with the devotees at the temple in Visakhapatnam on the occasion.
“Humbled and blessed beyond words to witness the lord in his ‘nija rupa'(real form) today on Akshay Tritiya at Simhachalam Temple. For rest of the year, the idol remains covered in a thick layer of sandalwood paste,” Shikhar Dhawan wrote while sharing the pics on Instagram.
